Each October, Shanghai becomes a gathering point for designers, buyers, and creatives from across the world. During Shanghai Fashion Week, Liam returned to the city to attend runway shows, visit showrooms, and reconnect with designers whose work continues to influence our direction at Moss.

These postcards capture moments throughout the journey - collections presented on the runway, details discovered in showrooms, and conversations that extend beyond the clothes themselves. More than a record of Fashion Week, they offer a glimpse into our buying process. Seeing collections firsthand allows us to better understand each designer’s vision, appreciate the finer details, and discover elements that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Among these encounters was Uan Corr, whose showroom offered a glimpse into a world shaped by post-war narratives. Extending beyond the garments themselves, the collection paired delicate layers of hand-dyed silk with striking silhouettes, capturing the designer's distinctive visual identity.
Moments like these remind us that fashion is shaped not only by the collections themselves, but also by the people behind them - their dedication to craftsmanship and unprecedented storytelling.

For us, the week is as much about building relationships as it is about discovering new collections. The conversations and connections made along the way help shape our perspective each season and inform what we ultimately bring back to Sydney.

We hope these postcards offer a glimpse into Shanghai Fashion Week through the eyes of Moss, capturing the people and moments that shape the collections eventually finding their place in our store.
